We are Here For A Reason!

What if no one had ever built a church at the corner of York and Brunswick streets?

What if the small group of Baptists meeting from 1814 to 1840 had never had a vision for a greater witness and impact? Or what if their vision had not lasted past its infancy?

Thankfully, we’ll never know — because the vision born almost 200 years ago grew into a lasting, visible base for public witness, service and outreach in Fredericton. Today it’s virtually impossible to picture this location without this church. We cannot even picture Fredericton without the ministry arising out of this congregation.

Generations of people have been reached for Christ and discipled to be His followers. The congregation has been a leader in the community, a light to our neighbours, and a rock solid spiritual home to thousands. Here generations of people have gathered to pray, worship, grow and serve. From here people have crossed the city, the province, the country and the globe with the message of God’s love and salvation.

We choose to serve people from a wide area. We choose to invest heavily in helping people grow in their faith. We choose to be the spiritual home for a wide array of people.
